Lionel has been a close family friend to Beth and me, not just as a childhood connection with Beth’s parents but with us socially, for many activities. Two particular places come to mind that we have shared with them. Lionel generously offered us their cabin at Watch Point, on Lake George, for a vacation one summer, which started a decades long tradition of trips there with our family. We have also spent time together in Paris on several occasions, sharing good food and visiting interesting places. Always jovial and sociable, he was a great man and we will miss him immensely.
